Commercial Services
Through its Employment Training Services program, The Arc of Hilo offers the following commercial services to the public:
Department of Health Certified Laundry Services:
- Wash/dry/fold
- Ironing
- Personal and commercial clients
- Free pick up and delivery for commercial laundry customers within the Hilo city limits
Janitorial Services:
- Free estimates
- Commercial customers only (includes small private businesses)
- Complete facility cleaning and/or maintenance
- Complete floor care (carpet cleaning and/or tile strip and wax)
- Services available for one-time only jobs as well as multiple visits
Groundskeeping services:
- Free estimates
- Private and commercial customers
- Complete grounds services
- Ability to cut back trees less than seven feet tall
- Landscaping
- Services available for one-time only jobs as well as multiple visits
Plant Nursery services:
- Commercial customers
- Vegetables and herbs
- Free delivery within Hilo city limits

HI-5 Redemption Services
Each year, approximately 800 million beverage containers are sold in Hawai‘i. Most of these containers are discarded in the waste stream or become litter in our community. Recycle as many beverage containers as possible. The Hawai‘i Beverage Container Deposit Program places a 5¢ redeemable deposit on each beverage container. Consumers get back their 5¢ when they return their containers to a redemption center.

- TAKE CAPS OFF ALL BOTTLES
- MUST BE EMPTY OF LIQUID OR DEBRIS
- TAKE ALL BOXES AND RUBBISH WITH YOU
- SORT BY MATERIAL – ALUMINUM, GLASS, PLASTIC, AND BI-METAL
- PLEASE ALLOW AT LEAST 15 MINUTES TO PROCESS LARGER LOADS
